Making Window Clings for Kids
Fun Craft for children 8+up

Hey Kids!

Wanna try something fun to do?
Something real easy?

Something you could make for your family or your friends or your teachers?

You could make your own window clings!

You trace a cool pattern with this special paint,
wait awhile,
then fill the outline with colors, just like you do in a coloring book.

Wait till tomorrow, and you can just peel and stick your artwork on the window!

You won't believe how much fun that is and how good it'll make you feel.

This is how easy it is:

First, print out a pattern you like
from the FREE Kids Pattern page

Then, put the pattern inside your page protector and tape it on your table.

With your Outline Paint, trace the pattern.
Hold the bottle straight up, and squeeze gently!
When you see the bead of paint come out, pull it around the pattern.

Try to make it nice and even.

When you're all done, let it dry for at least 2 hours.
Overnight is better.

You get to fill all the spaces with the color paint.

Try not to go over the outline, but you can make it real full.

Take your Window Cling Tool or your shishkebab stick and run it along the outline.
You want to make sure that all the paint touches the outline.

If you make a boo-boo, or make it too full, you can fix it with a Q-tip.
If you get some paint on your clothes, rinse it right away, and it'll come out.

Wait till tomorrow, and your picture will be dry.

You can gently peel it off the page protector and stick it on something glass.

Maybe a window, a mirror or a jar.

Be careful not to stick it on other stuff, like paper, furniture or plastic.

It won't come off then.

If it's winter, you'll have to wait till the windows are warm enough again to stick your window clings on.

You could stick it on a mirror in the meantime.

Don't put it on a car window...it might get too hot.

You can store your window clings in a page protector.

That's a good way to give them to people, too.

/i/Small Picts/Ladybug_Scan_250.jpg If you're a real go-getter, you could sell your window clings!

We know kids that are taking orders and are making a business with them.
